We went to the doctors again today- the usual exams and whatnot. She said that my cervix is still the same- no change and that she has made an appointment to induce monday morning at 5:30 AM, but would like us to come Sunday night now to take medication to "ripen" my cervix and get it ready to be induced Monday morning. Too much information anyone? Well, that's the update. There it is. We will start the process Sunday night around 7PM, stay the night, continue the process at 5:30AM and hopefully be celebrating a birthday that day. Sound good? Honestly, I have my reservations- like- what's wrong with my cervix? or Is he ready to come out? But- the rational answers to those questions and many more are very reassuring. Have a great weekend.
Here are some photos I took on the way home from the hospital. They are by Kualoa Ranch.
And here are two tourists who yelled to me- "How many you got in there?!" I looked at my camera with a confused face and then realized they were talking about my belly. So, I laughed and said "Just one." To which crimpy haired lady hooted back, "Looks more like three!!" I politely smiled and for lack of a better thing to respond said, "Feels like three." Thinking (hoping) the conversation was over, I went back to my picture taking only to hear "I bet!" I smiled at their backsides and took a photo as they tromped away (is "tromped" a word? Because it describes the manner in which they walked away perfectly).

Stephanie, the scenery in the picture is so beautiful! You really do live in paradise don't you? Well it is good to know that there is a definate plan now in place. We will just plan on seeing those first pictures of the baby late Monday night or on Tuesday morning. You have waited this long so I guess you can make it a few more (albeit uncomfortable) days.
Crimpy haired lady was just jealous she doesn't look as cute as you!
Loved the pictures. Jake and I have been dreaming of taking a Hawiian cruise next year over spring break. This just adds to our desire to see the sites!!
We will be religiously checking your blog until we see pics of the new one. You are in our thoughts!
(Maybe a blessing could calm your reservations and fears)
It probably feels good to have a plan! So much for a Leprechaun baby. :-)
I want to come to Hawaii bad!
i do feel bad for what those nutty people said to you, and for the discomfort of your body, but putting pictures of "on the way home from the hospital" up that look like THAT kind of change my empathy to jealousy. ooh, poor steph.
but really, mostly it's empathy.
loved the play by play. thanks for keeping us all updated! best of luck!
the pics were ok, but i live in boise, so it's pretty much the same...
