Sleep Story

Little Ambrose is still trying to figure out how to be a land mammal. The very first night he slept 8.5 hours straight and then took a morning nap he decided to cry all day long.

We tried to tell him he just needed to nap, but I think he was all thrown off. He nursed every hour (demanding little piglet) and screamed his head off. It even got to the point where I decided to heed advice from some well meaning people and just let him cry it out. That was AWFUL to say the very least. He didn't stop. He cried and cried until he gagged himself over and over and this weak little mama couldn't take it. I scooped him up and apologized profusely. He eventually became contemplative and worn out by evening... pondering what exactly had gone horribly wrong in his life.

He slept beautifully that night...wouldn't you if you had exercised your lungs all day long? Eight and half hours later we were ready for him to repeat the horrible cycle. We thought to ourselves: "Which do we prefer? A good nights sleep or a napping baby during the day?" It was a hard one. Imagine our delight when Ambrose adjusted himself and can so far (fingers crossed, keep it up boy, keep it up!) sleep all night long and take naps during the day.
We have a happy boy again!

proof that you should write short stories, and thomas should take photos.

ps maybe ambrose was crying all that day because of how hard it is to be so good-looking.

I love seeing Ambrose chilling with his friend the yellow duck. So cute. And how does Thomas get those pictures of your bed from so high in the air???
