yowza

a few things of note:

ambrose's four month well baby check-up was today and here are the facts: 19 lbs. 4 ozs. 27 inches long and no signs of slowing down anytime soon. he's off the charts- he's basically a 4 month old in a 6 month (or older) body. a beast of beast proportions.

also, if he had colic, he should be growing out of it now... so the doctor suggested i try incorporating dairy into my diet on and off to see if he tolerates it and his problem was just colic or if dairy is the source of all his woes.

thomas encouraged me to start off slow. clever chap. however, i basically inhaled the remains of his ben and jerrys this afternoon- there was only a little left in the carton- but i felt a surge of guilt afterwards anyway. i hope ambrose was just colicky. if so, this binge will not hurt him and i can lead a normal life again. if not, we will find out very soon (maybe the whole neighborhood will. have you heard his t-rex cry?) and i will be back to the dairy free routine. no big deal, but sort of.

ok, moving on.

a while back thomas and i started writing a book of poetry. he had some great stuff. i was ok- but today i have decided to take up the task again. feel free to join in. it's just for fun- don't get your panties in a bunch.

i really enjoyed this post. the length was so pleasing, and ambrose is so big and lovable.

would you stop griping about it and share some of that poetry please?

hehe

I love the "T-Rex" cry description. Way funny. I am crossing my fingers that it was colic (not fun by the way - sorry!). Life without dairy is a sacrifice you easily make for your baby (one of the many), but on a selfish note... are we kidding? I would DIE without cheese.

WOW he sure is a big boy. Rainey's 6month on Monday he weighed 19Lbs 1oz and was 27inches.

Hope all goes well with the dairy. I know I tried to take Rainey off his tummy medicine and paid for it for a week. They say 6months is the magical age for stuff like that but I guess not yet for us. Hope things work out better for you!
