the next chapter in the craft saga

Today Ambrose and I trekked over to campus and signed up for one of the continuing ed. classes: Beginners Sewing!

It starts October 11th and ends December 13th and is every Thursday night from 5-7pm. Thomas is going to try and be home in time on Thursday to watch the boy and I am so excited! It was also only $40 for the whole thing- usually those classes are a lot more- at least Yoga was. You also need to bring your own machine, which is kind of perfect because I still need to learn a thing or two about mine. I think a few of my friends are wanting to sign up as well. Echo saw the poster for this a while ago and I am so glad she clued me in because I have wanted to do something like this for a while!

Well, this craft whim is turning into kind of a craft phase. Who knows, maybe it will be a craft... um... permanence. :)

I'm so sure! Big sew-er! I just signed up for a sewing class also. We must be MMIH (match made in heaven) I have gone to the first 2 classes and we have yet to cut out the pattern let alone sew. Beginning sewing class takers beware.

even if the class is waaay slow, it would be so good to have a base of knowledge like that, instead of just guessing like i do! i'm so jealous and wish for a million bucks we could take it together! ps is that really your sewing machine?? it's beautiful. makes mine look like plain jane mcgee.

ha, i just noticed the hello kitty decor, and if it is yours, i will admit that i like my decor better (the cover of my "bring it back" cd plastered all over it...)

I am really jealous. now that I am finishing school am realizing all the things that I don't actually know how to do that I wish I did (sewing being one). I wish I could come and go with you and Mellie too.

im done with school bitty- its continuing ed- you too can do it! :) (even better yet- come out here and stay with me and do it with me and we can be jolly real life friends forever more instead of just internet friends for the time being!)

well, no. the hello kitty sewing machine is not mine mel. i wish. (actually, no i dont because my mother in law gave me a nice singer that used to be hers and after a quick repair- it is really great!)

thanks for all the sewing enthusiasm all! i shall make you all something as soon as i know how!

What a great idea Steph. I look forward to a time when Andrew's schedule permits me to have such a night off to learn new things. I'm excited for you.

ooh, you should make the yellow dress with the white hat. and then make it in my size. and then give it to me. glad we got that out of the way. you're the best.

have fun.
I would sooooooooo love to learn sewing. My mom's tried teaching me a lot....but the Bobbin screws with me every time.

If I could master the bobbin...I'm sure I could master sewing completely. Someday....
