It is october and I should welcome it in with halloween plans, sugar cookies, and a new post! Let's get started: we are getting our pirate costumes ready, my friend bille bought halloween cookie cutters from the Martha Stewart line at macys (OH MY GOSH I WANT IT ALL!!!) yesterday and here's an update for anyone interested.

Ambrose sleeps through the night again! We started letting him cry himself back to sleep when he wakes up in the night about six days ago and now he is a trained little monkey and my life is so much better for it. I think his is too because he wakes up happier and seems more well rested throughout the day.

We are making plans making plans making plans: we are probably going to try and buy our plane tickets this weekend to come home for christmas! I am beyond excited and can't wait to be in good old Bakersfield at a time other than the hot summer months. It will be so fun to see all of my family and a bunch of my friends who I seriously haven't seen in years! We have been in Hawaii the last two Christmases so I feel like this trip is long overdue and I'm stoked.

Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas- so much to look forward to. (if you're wondering, i want gwen stefani's perfume for christmas...thanks.)

october is the best month isn't it? it is! it is!
amby's legs look long in that top picture. is he secretly older than you're telling us? (like three?) justakiddin.
hey, hey, hey...want to come up to Monterey over Christmas??? You should convince your family to come too and then we can have one big party. See, you really should! :)
I know Steph...I am feeling so excited about all the upcoming holidays too...unfortunately, so is my stomach:)
Amrose is looking cute as ever...I can see he is growing up!
I didn't know you were from Bakersfield. My oldest brother taught high school there for a few years back in the day.
yep.
Thank you so much for the HAPPY pictures of Ambrose. It easier to be an oecan apart from him if I can think of him with a happy face.
I have to agree with the Martha Stewart stuff at Macy's. It's like all I think about.
ooh, i like the commercials for gwen's new perfume. i haven't actually smelled it though. is it good? (i'm assuming yes, seeing as you want it)
well boo, since she is our best friend (remember??) i naturally had to check out her perfume first chance i got and yes it is glorious. every time i sample it i smell hair spray at first and then give it a second and the hair spray part goes away... so the jury is still out but my friend bille got me samples of lamb and maybe baby from benefit- similar fragrances. so now i have a choice to make. oh the drama of it all!
stephanie,
have you bought your plane tickets yet? i just read that you were going to buy some for christmas. anyway, i now have a travel booking website that has really competitive prices. check it out at www.vibrantlifetravel.com
i would love to help with all your travel needs. :)
oh man oh mango: we already bought them! but it's ok- we did get them for the cheapest i have every heard of at christmas time- $309 (before taxes...etc.) roundtrip. i'm gonna save that website for future travels though- thanks jill doe.
