these photos were stolen from my sister natalie's blog- i will post ours when we get back- thanks nat! :)
we are still on the mainland and so i havent really been on the computer much- too busy running around with family and having fun! we went to las vegas for new years , but if that sounds wild and crazy to you let me let you in on a little secret: it was! oh wait, not in the way you might imagine though... in fact, we went to bed at 11pm on new years eve, but the remainder of the time was spent eating a lot of good food, watching great movies and relaxing with my sister and her family. we love going out there, so fun.

a family in my home ward does this every year for christmas so we got a picture with some of the cousins
i got a bunch of cool stuff for christmas- what did you get? thomas really got in to the santa spirit this year since he has his first real job and even got me a gift certificate for a facial (i've been dropping not so subtle hints that i want one and he listened!) and betsey johnson earrings and necklace.... yeah, seriously. he's the bomb. let's see what else? feist's new cd, chocolat the movie and beetle juice (bille!) and some little notebooks and purses and a photo album for my lomo's and a bunch of film...etc. way to go thomas!
i've really really been enjoying myself here on the good old mainland. i went to the annual friends potluck that we all gripe about so much, but then end up enjoying. i didnt get to enjoy it however because i brought poor little ambrose with me and not only was it his bed time, but i had no idea that he was really sick (we spent all of the next day, which just happened to be christmas eve, in the ER- but he is totally fine now- just a bad cold). so, he was a horrible party guest and i am pretty sure that all of those girls will be waiting even longer to have children someday after that encounter. it was pretty funny- all of them in their cute little party dresses and heels, and motherly me in pants and a sensible shirt with a screaming baby- further cememnting myself as very different than many people my age- but they were all very nice about it. i did wear the awesome betsey johnson necklace though (thank you again t-dawg). i guess i just wish i could have spent more quality time sitting down with them and hearing how their lives are, what they are up to...etc. but perhaps someday we can.
other than that we have just been eating a ton of treats and relaxing and enjoying. it is just what i needed! we fly back sunday and honestly i am not looking forward to getting back to real life at all, but it will be nice to be back in our own bed and ambrose back in his. we will see you then: happy 2008!

thanks i've missed your words. glad you're not gone for good.
my daily disappointments were really racking up there with every time i checked your blog. i can't wait for all the pictures i know have to be coming when you get back to your little island. speaking of which, i almost cried (no exag) thinking of laie town today. then i thought of you three forty-seven times.
good bye.
omg - brit and natalie's kids look so old! they grow up so fast...ahhhhhhh!!
Spending holidays in the ER equals butt. At least you weren't in Amish country ER like us. Seriously, electricty is the bomb people, hop on the bandwagon. Needless to say, I made dan swear to me we will NEVER visit his mom in Honeybrook, PA again. NEVER!
