oh glorious

we are enjoying our new place. we slept in it for the first time last night and had fun unpacking everything-- even if it was a little hectic and tiring. we just have a few more lose ends to tie up and we want to clean the old apartment from top to bottom - but other than that we are here and happy! we had fun hosting my cousin jake and his wife chrissy tonight for dinner and they did a great job of ooing nad ahhing over all the new features of our apartment. they have been here for a week and leave tomorrow. they were so fun to have and we are sad to see them go! amby is also really enjoying all the new places to explore and having his friends over today to play in his room. it was so cute to see ambrose, addy, and eden squealing and crawling from room to room. ambrose stood in his doorway and delighted in opening and closing the door while screeching with delight and then looking around with his chubby jack-o-lantern grin to see if anyone noticed him standing in the doorway of his very own room, being a big boy. also, i must say that i have never enjoyed loading a dishwasher and starting it so much in my life. i was queen of the kitchen tonight and i know this may sound braggy or lame, but i loved it. we are happy to have found a nice, wonderful place and still be so close to the things and people that we love in hawaii. i guess the only thing that would make it more perfect is if we had unlimited free flights to the mainland to visit everyone we miss. oh well, for now perfection lies in a new place in hawaii where we can put our child in his own room at night. :) pictures to come...
