endless summer and things we know

i cant really do a "summer is here!" post since we honestly live in a season warp and summer has been here with rare exception since january 1, 2004 when i moved here (and i am guessing before i moved here but since i am the author of this post we will assume hawaii ceased to exist without me- ha); but we are making an effort to celebrate anyway.

some things we know:
1. ambrose is the kissiest boy we have ever met these days and the cuddliest. we dont know why but we'll take it and love every minute of it.
2. he is also increasingly better at being sassy when he doesnt get his way. awesome.
3. the roziers (family on my dads side) are here and they are so much fun! we got to spend some quality time with them and drove away this evening feeling good and saying, "they are so great. we really like them!" isnt that wonderful? wouldnt it be nice if people felt that way about you, me, anyone, everyone...etc.? it's nice to be around good, happy, uplifting and interesting people. we think they should visit again and they said they think so too! :)
4. we live in a vacation spot and it is high time we starting treating it as such. expect some vacationing on our end. you should too- if you want.
5. i leave tomorrow night for nine days and dont have a thing packed, but a list of things to pack. that's good enough right? i am so excited!
6. the church is true and makes us happy. we should be a part of things that make us happy and be loyal to them.
7. upstanding youth is working hard on their fourth album and i am so very impressed with the musical genius. it's nice to be married to someone with talent- ambrose has a fighting chance that way. :)
8. i'm getting a car in a few weeks and plan on getting out on several adventures a week with the boy because he hates lounging around home. i plan on inviting others who are interested in being adventurous but i am refusing to make it an ordeal (i.e.: lots of car pooling, waiting on others, stressed out moms who feel obligated, assignments, anything that prevents me from joining any sort of mommy and me because i can't be counted on with such frequency because i am a mother of a small child...etc.). it is a "meet me there if you want, no pressure, it will be fun if it works out" kind of thing. you can come if you want. we will be there having fun. more about this later.
9. we know other things, but i also know that i'm tired. here is a visual representation of the start of summer around these parts. adios.

i love these crazy upstanding youth boys. they are family.

i love being the first comment.

ambrose looks giant. i'm excited to meet him again.

you have nice arms.

summer is pretty chilly here this year. our best weather weekend was...may 3rd or so.

i hope we can find some friends who live nearby that are anything like you and your family.

the word verification is: avircraq. it reminds me of iraq.

I like your pictures and I love "summer" in hawaii, it couldn't be better in my eyes! )

I too have decided that I'm going to treat hawaii like the vacation spot it is, recently. I want to take it all in while I can.
