we are back from our trip to the mainland and so many things happened and i am so tired and overall it was well worth all the energy expended.
i feel like i need to do some sort of "here's what we did" post for at least our family record or something, but the task overwhelms me at the moment. :)
so, i will do it in time because i like to keep all the family facts in one place (here).
short summary:
ambrose is a great little traveler for his age, stage, and energy
ashley was a beautiful bride and now a married woman- we like ben a whole lot- good thing he is my new brother so we will get to hang out more
my sister brittany gave me shelter, food, friendship and a short/violent stomach flu and yet i cant wait to see her again soon!
it was really nice to see so much immediate and extended family
ambrose sure likes to say "no" all of a sudden
i am tired and dont think i will jump at the chance of being a single parent, an ocean away, in a different time zone any time soon
ambrose likes melissa better as a peterson and i have the pictures to prove it (remember last years arching, red faced, screaming photos?)
behold the new and improved friendship- he wasnt sure at first but she lured him in with that cool clock necklace and then there was no stopping the love that would follow!
well, that'll do. this turned out to be a pretty good summary actually. i guess that rules out any future details on my part. i'll fill in the rest with pictures, enjoy the assault:
did you spot the repeat? those girls are so sassy i guess i felt they deserved to be shown twice... either that or i am too lazy to read all the long codes and figure out which one to erase... ha!

wow that was a wonderful and through and enlightening post. you're right, ashley looks great! i'm glad it all went well. as for me and ambrose...he called me on the phone the other day and is coming to visit again soon becuase he misses my kisses. fyi.
whoa long hair, whoa super tan, whoa gorgeousness!!! this post fulfilled my every wish, after such a long drought. ashley does look lovely and oh so feminine. i'm very happy for her. thank you for the millions of pictures, really i was so stoked. i enjoyed seeing all the sisters pictured, its fun thinking of you as the baby . and ambrose is just ambrose which by definition, in case you didn't know, is the sum of all adorableness.

Love a good image assault. I have been looking forward to seeing your trip pictures, and hope there are more to come! YOu do look really great! Ashley was such a pretty bride, her waist is so small! And baby A is adorable.
mel c: yes, i got bangs again even though i just finished growing the old ones out... women.
mel p: its a good thing i have free long distance. expect me to ship him out for the remainder of the summer real soon!
ana: no, not shorts. haha! i thought the same thing when i looked at the photo- just a skirt that could pass for shorts in pictures. i am not that unique, i have to stick to standard attire for these types of events. :)
bille- she does indeed have a tiny waist. she will be glad to hear you said so!
Yes it felt like the "Double-mint twins" commercial. The bride's dress is gorgeous and I love the baby Ambrose pictures.
THANK YOU!!!! I have been checking all the Hawkins blogs every day for a week now wanting to see pictures of the two of them. It looked like an awesome wedding. Hey, who is the other girl in the picture with your mom and Heather Chaddock?
It's so funny that you take a trip to the mainland where as everyone else would love to take a trip to where you are coming from! I'm glad you had a fun trip. I love the pic of you and Ambrose...so cute!
jess- it's dena webb- long time family friend. her sister donna is my age and we would always get together (me, ash, dena, and donna) and take sisters pictures... arent we cute. :)
Stephanie, It was sooooo fun to see you and your family! I wish we could have visited longer, but time sure flies when you are having fun. Ashley sure did look beautiful and Ambrose is a DOLL! I wish you had taken a better picture of me and my hubby if I had known it would be posted for the world to see. Either way I am so glad I could come!

all i have to say to the both of you is "WHAT?"
you both look good but you both also confirm thomas' long held belief that women will never be satisfied with ANY photos taken of them EVER for one reason or another. thanks. i was trying to convince him that it wasnt true. :)
