back to my old job! well, ok, before you start (jaime you are probably flying off the handle- haha)-
billing is winding down for good (HOORAY!) in the next month or so and i was looking around and thinking, my little baby is a little boy now and he is pretty awesome- i think we can work with this.
sooooo, here is the short version of what sorta just happened a day or so ago.
my friend jonathon who took over for me running the PAB Program when i had a baby is going to grad school and needs someone to take over for him now. my other friend taylor needed a job- i recommended her. she graduated in business and is qualified ot run everything in the program except for the supervisions and meeting with the families and case managers to get them started, make their plans, update them...etc. but she can do everything else.
it just so happens that i am qualified to do those things since i now have three years experience and i used to do them all the time before amby was born.
i suggested it to dr. kehoe (the big boss man) and he was happy.
i can take ambrose with me all over the island for these supervisions and schedule them whenever i want and get paid well to do so.
we can schedule adventures for ourselves while we are out and have fun together.
i can still make money and not have to do the big fat billing- just all this and the little billing that i like doing.
my life is working out big time and sometimes it just takes patience and faith to wait for a pay-off like this. it's not going to be easy all the time, but it will be great for our family. i still get to do the things i enjoy when it comes to work and be the mom i want to be.
i feel very happy and very grateful to heavenly father.
the end. :)

seriously, that is great. jobs are so hard to deal with sometimes, and i feel glad yours is working with you instead of against you. peace.
That's awesome Steph. Things always do seem to work out don't they?! You and Ambrose will have so many fun adventures together!!
I totally have a professor named Dr. Kehoe! Normally I wouldn't say something silly like, "I wonder if they're related?!" but Kehoe is not a very common name (as far as I know) and I wonder if they're related?! Hahaha...maybe I need to make a trip to Hawaii to visit you when I graduate in May 2009...are you free?
I'm so glad your "life is working out big-time." With all its ups and downs, it's always nice when the big picture gets a little clearer. When do you start? Can I go on your adventures with you?!?
Congrats Steph. That is great. It is so nice to have a job that you can enjoy and still have Ambrose with you. He really is a great kid, you've done an amazing job. The Lord is definitely watching over you guys and blessing you. Good luck with the new promotion. Hope it is all you hope for and more.
AHHHHHHHH! Dangle the carrot and you come a runnin'! Just kidding steph. How I wish I were in your shoes. I literally just walked in from a job interview. You are looking at Ralphs' (the grocery store down the street) newest Deli counter attendant. Dan told me this is a fancy name for meat slicer. yeah I used to run a company for a living and now I make 8.75/hr slicing meat. Good job bachelors degree, magna cum laude, the fastest fingers in the west, and all around awesome gal! Where did it get me? Meat slicer. And occasional sandwich maker. yippee. KILL ME NOW!
that's great news... we're in the 'patience' phase, waiting for our 'right fit' to come along. I'm trying to endure it well. It's nice to read/witness your families recent blessing. It gives me resolve to not whine... I'm happy for you!
wow, i'm so happy for you. you are such a hard worker, and so dependable. you really deserve a good turn like this, its karma.
That sounds like a pretty sweet deal--what a renaissance mom!
does this mean you get a car?
oh yeah. and soon!
i'm a little slow on the uptake but YEAH!!! how wonderful, exciting, perfect is that! i'm extremely happy for you, genuinely happy. :)
