we have been having a nice family weekend. we headed out on saturday and drove for a long time so bubba could get a nice air conditioned nap. what a thing to do with such gas prices- here's a hilarious picture to illustrate the point. (in the words of creed bratton, "right time, right place'):
shout out to thomas for shooting that right as we pulled out of a waikiki gas station. seriously double stretch hummer- how much gas do you consume??
on to more fun- a walk around the park next to honolulu zoo and then a delicious night of swimming, fun and most importantly onolicious food at demitri's (uy bass player) bbq. ambrose was in heaven with that pool.
the bbq was b.y.o.b. and being the cool cats that we are we brought jones' soda... and i am aware that this looks like i am giving my child alcohol. i assure you- it is berry lemonade soda. he looks so gangsta drinking it all laid back in his stroller! :)

Oh how I wish Con would relax in the pool like Ambrose is doing. But alas, he HATES HATES HATES the water all of the sudden. So unfortunate.

even now that i'm a big famous, successful photographer (NOT), i still very much admire thomas's work (opposite of NOT).
this was such a satisfying post. i love to read about happy food-filled times while looking at pictures of people i love. (minus demetri because we've never met).
i like the pictures of amby getting out of the pool with the clouds behind him. very cool. and the one of him taking a swig of course.

Steph- is Ambrose throwing up a gang sign? I MISS him and can't wait to see you all in a week and a half. And we will do all in our power to NOT have the stomach flu... seriously.
