for the record! and other stuff

uh oh, well, i thought the main character in the bell jar was relateable for about the first 80pgs. or so.... but now i am much further and i must state for the record that i no longer think that. but i am still enjoying the novel a lot. i dont mind dark or suicidal or mentally unstable in books. it's interesting. but i just thought i should assure any people who had already read the book that i do not relate with her anymore... dont worry. i am sane.... for the most part! ha! ;)

on to the adventurous countdown.... yesterdays adventure was.... doing our best to not lose our minds!!haha ambrose and i were both cranky beasts for some reason and so that made for an interesting day- but i think it was due to the fact that i have been trying to get him to lay around at home and get that snotty nose of his under control. we had some fun too- it wasnt all sassiness.
and we enjoyed a three hour nap together in the afternoon. i only slept for some of that time and spent the rest either watching him or holding him sleep and feeling bad that i lose my patience with him and just feeling love for him.
today has been great so far. we had fun with our pals at ke iki as always - the beach was nearly deserted today, which was cool- it felt like it was just there for us. ambrose had a great time picking up rocks and putting them in his bucket when we first arrived so i just let him do that for a long time and then i got bored and we headed to meet our friends. after a great couple of hours of sun, snacks, swimming, digging, and running around we headed back for home.

now im just enjoying some quiet while he naps and a papaya from off the tree in the backyard.
thanks for checking in!

hm. keep in mind that my grocery store stocks apples, bananas, oranges, tangeos sometimes, grapes and strawberries only. (pretty much) but, um, what fruit is that? it looks delightful. like a little personalized cantaloupe. is it a mango? i am so embarrassed.

Papaya! Come over and you can have them until you scream... My in laws have several papaya trees in the backyard. I'm sure they'd be glad to share. :)

Am reading The Bell Jar too right now! I don't mind dark and suicidal either, as long as it's not all the time, then I tend to get a little dark myself.

lets trade lives for a day. You go to Disneyland and I'll go to the deserted beach!!!! Glad you enjoyed time with the boy (who by the way has the loveliest hair lately. Please do not cut it)

I want to like papaya! I've tried but the ones I've had taste very soapy. Mine are mexican papaya though--- Maybe yours are better.

Your day sounds positively delightful.

I think most people who have read that book feel like they can totally relate to her, and then have to remind themselves that that does not mean they will descend into madness or mental instability.

That papaya is making my mouth water.
