Shhhhh....

I want to shout it from the roof tops: LAST WEEK I FINALLY MADE THE QUIET BOOK I'VE BEEN MEANING TO MAKE FOR THE LAST THREE YEARS!!!!!

Dress the kid:

Tic-tac-toe:

Camping/Zipper tent/Who-keeps-roasted-marshmallows-on-a-stick-in-their-camping-pack-in-real -life-but-I-thought-I-was-clever-anyway page:

Go fish and button:

Matching colors and numbers:

Matching colors and shapes:

Lacing and tying a shoe:

Yep, that's it.

Now my kids will be downgraded from most wild and unruly in sacrament meeting to contained for long enough to lose a handful of pieces and fight over a couple of pages right?

I got lazy and skipped the shoelaces and zipper on Kailani's book.

very cool, I love quiet books, I made one for Keilana for her 1st bday and realize I never posted about it. To many hours into cutting and sewing no pictures were taken. Quiet books rock!

Mike and I love this! What a great idea! Are there instructions or did you wing it? Totally want to steal this idea and make one for Connor.

THANKS FRIENDS!

Becky- I just googled "quiet book" for some inspiration and then tried to think of things the boys particularly liked and then just went for it. So, I have no instructions, but a helpful tip from one blog I read was that once you know what you want you can trace from something online or coloring books. I ended up tracing the shape of the kid from this wooden magnetic "paper doll" we have. Feel free to send me any questions you have and I'll do my best to help you! Steph

This is awesome. Too bad Kalani doesn't have a sewing mama. We end up busting out the iphone for silent Elmo videos in church. I seriously love this book.

Holy Canoli! So great. Ummm, after the 3 year break, how long did it end up taking you? Those kids better cherish that work of art.
