A recipe for success at church:

A giant bag of activities + snacks + low expectations for maintaining very much order or calm + a "brave" big brother + a good buddy to peer pressure Asher into nursery without tears = success at church.

(Also, a mother's worn-down ability to accept untucked shirts and lack of shoes doesn't hurt either. Hey, at least I get to sit alone in classes for two hours. Wear what you want kids!)

Suddenly you get to sit alone in your classes, and suddenly you feel so...bored? Can't hold still? Need to get up and bounce something on your hip, or sway side to side while you listen? :)

I'm still trying to figure out our formula to success. I got so mad today I wanted to discipline right in the middle of sacrament (involved gobs of lotion being smeared all over my skirt). BUT I didn't. I held myself.
I'm happy for you.

Sounds like a fool-proof plan! Love these little updates, you're inspiring me to do the same more often...

haha!! awesome. yesterday, faith decided to wear royal blue tights with her coral dress and some really ugg-looking boots. i told her to take her tights off. when we got to church, i discovered she pulled them up under her dress because she said it was too hard for her to take her boots off to take the tights off. i guess we have to choose our battles! and malik wears his slippers all too often to church...my goal is to get him to wear his dress shoes, white shirt and tie every week...we shall see!
