A few facts

Today I finished reading Boy: Tales of Childhood by Roald Dahl. It was charming and brutally honest if you ask me.

Also, Ambrose is a pretty awesome baby and slept all day for the most part. This allowed me to get half of the billing reports done for work.

I went for a walk this evening and it was so windy that I started to feel like a negligent mother so I headed for home (only to remember that I had a new baby to meet in the community). Ambrose let me visit for a while, but we had to laugh at the betrayed face he was making at me as I held another baby... as if he could even know, maybe he does. We should give him more credit (it sounds like I am giving myself credit actually). He let out one warning cry when he was ready to go, which sounded like this: "Ra!" I waited for the second warning cry and then bowed out- only to have him howl the whole way home.

Well, that's about it for today. I am still wearing the shirt I slept in the night before. It has spit up on it and I will probably wear it to bed again tonight. Should I not admit these things publicly? It was just that kind of day. What's a blog for anyway?

And as usual I leave you with this cute thought to ponder:

What a cute boy! I wouldn't admit the part about the shirt- even though we have all done that kind of thing!

Thankyou for keeping the pictures and messages coming. It is so fun to be in touch with the latest on Ambrose.

My goodness, those eyes are staying very blue and beautiful. I can't believe how fast he is growing up. Tell him to slow down, at least until he gets to our house. My arms just ache to hold him while he is still a newborn.

I love his eyes in that picture. Ambrose knows what's going on and he was offended by you holding another baby.

oh my baby blue eyes. It's good to know that another mom re-wears dirty-spit-up-shirts.

I am glad you are reading! I have been reading a lot too. In fact, I finished Middlemarch by George Eliot, which I have to say I am glad we never had to read for school because it was 799 pages! I have now turned to some novels by Henry James. If you want a quick read, Washington Square was super fast and I think you would enjoy it. I am now reading The Portrait of a Lady. I'll let you know how it goes. So many books, so little time...
