also: will you be shocked to know?

that we are moving to hauula this week!

signed the lease today. we are big time renters now.

i am strangely sad to be leaving our little studio home. it has been our place of refuge for over three and a half years now and i always thought i would be jumping for joy when we finally decided to get a bigger place-- but tonight i feel sad. we moved in here when we were first married, brought ambrose home to this place, and have had countless gatherings of friends and family here. so so many memories. even though we have been talking about the great day when we would finally find a bigger place since ambrose was about to be born- i feel a little unprepared- like it all happened so quickly!

i am sure some of that will melt away as i do dishes in my new stainless steel DISHWASHER!!! and put my child to bed in his own room!!!!

we will see.

aloha oe cute little apartment. we have a few nights left together. let's make it count!

Stephanie, I know the feeling... kind of weird to leave your only home you've known with Thomas and Ambrose, but get ready to feel like a real person when you put Ambrose to bed and then CLOSE HIS DOOR! When do you move?

Congrats congrats! Wow, Ambrose gets his own room! No more hiding out in the bathroom to get him to go to sleep! Hooray. Hope all goes well with the move. Also congrats on gaining your sanity back. I can TOTALLY understand that one, that is how I felt beginning of December. Still working on repairing the emotional damage all the working had on the kids, but for the most part they are just fine. Good thing kids are resilient at young ages. Brady especially likes having a wife around to finally cook a little, instead of him coming home to me sitting in the office late into the night and nothing on the dinner table and him having to take charge. Ahh, don't miss the working days AT ALL! At least not yet. Congrats again on now just getting to do the work you enjoy.

Wow! Your own place -- how exciting, congratulations!! Glad to see good things happening for the Robertsons. Can't wait to see pics of the cute things you'll do to decorate it and make it your own.

Wow! Lots going on for your family. I am VERY happy for you to have so many goods things happening. I know what you mean about missing the only place you knew together. Ironically, I really miss the TVA days. We had so many happy memories there. BUT, I too enjoy having a dishwasher and so will you my friend!

this is so exciting! you guys are such grown-ups. first you have a baby, then thomas gets a big boy job, then you buy a car, and now you're moving out! hooray! i feel like we should get little clay prints of your hands to hang on the wall...

Stephanie,
Your past three entries have all pulled at my heartstrings. Seriously, I can relate to what you're saying (except I've never lived in Paradise - Hawaii) but these life experiences, feelings about being a Mom, changes, etc... make my eyes leak fluid. Thanks for sharing.

Hey, it beats leaving a 4 bedroom apartment right on the beach and moving into a tiny bedroom with your parents.

You're moving to Hau'ula?! Well that's all sorts of exciting ... where? when? a dishwasher? whoa! (my dishwasher is fleshy colored with 10 digits) Are you near us? I'm just crazy excited

whoa whoa whoa--hold on a minute!! Seriously, we didn't even hang out that much and now your moving away (far far away) to Hauula?
Well here's to us hanging out more even though you will be living in the distant remote land of Hauula. Cause if and when you move even farther away like across the ocean I'll be kicking my self in the pants for not hanging out with you more.
I mean that is if you want to hang out with me...(i hope):)

I don't know how you kept your sanity so long with a job and more importantly no dishwasher. We found an apartment right next to campus for $550 a month and I wouldn't even look at it because it didn't have a dishwasher. Ha! Anyway your life is about to get a whole lot easier. I hope you have a good coffee table to put your feet on while you eat bonbons and watch soap operas.

britt: we move starting now basically! we get our keys tonight and start the process so we have been throwing things out like crazy people! it's the great purge of 2008 and it never felt so good!

rach: thanks! thomas is also excited for the meals and cleaning to come... no pressure i guess.

megwalt:pictures to come! for sure.

star: yes, the dishwasher = sealing the deal as far as paying a lot of rent goes

boo: i will be sending you my hand prints in red hawaiian clay

echo: so sorry for no news until the blog, but it seriously just HAPPENED! we feel a little crazy.

ali: i am glad that someone else cries whilst reading others blogs- but at least you have the excuse of pregnancy!

mike/bille: oh man. you guys had the best place ever. too bad the landlord was a beast- i bet you like your new landlord a lot better- even if it is smaller!

mellie: you are taking some big bad steps very very soon as well!

steph j: we are down the street from you on honomu! come over anytime- but you have to walk because there is no parking and our neighbors are crazy and territorial.

melissa: i still plan on being in laie a bunch (i guess ill take the bus) for hte playground/places to walk! and you also should feel free to come over anytime!

carrie: maybe i could even MAKE my own bon bons with the time i will have since i am not working!

whew. i like all these comments. thanks friends.

Where abouts are you guys going to move to? We're moving soon too, to Kaaawa come the end of April. Keoni will be done with school. I thought Ambrose pictures @ his party were so cute. I just want to squeeze him he's so adorable.

Stephanie- So much news that I have missed!! Congrats to you guys. I am so excited even though it isn't the house two doors down from me. :-)

hey cute pregnant sheila! if you turn on the first hauula homestead- honomu is on your left and there we are! do you already have your place in kaaawa- we looked there too but nothing came up. we almost moved in to a place in punaluu- but when it came right down to it - the kitchen/ wood floor of the place in hauula won us (me!) over.

hey hat- well its a 6 month lease... so start getting that house ready for after september! ;) oh yeah, and start convincing thomaste please...
