the bicycle thief

maybe it's because my bike was stolen last summer. maybe it's because something in the back of my ghetto neighbors truck caught my eye this morning and i wondered if one of the bikes in there was mine (chain and all). maybe it's because i am a mom now to a little boy and i have been watching too many movies like this lately that tug at my heart strings in a major way (riding in cars with boys- watched it twice in a row- love the little boy in that one too):

but i watched the 1948 italian movie "the bicycle thief" tonight while thomas was out with the band again and i dont know if i will ever recover (dramatic). but seriously, how heart wrenching can one movie be? have you seen it? got it through netflix of course. it is tragic, but you have to see it and then talk to me about it. we can be heartbroken together.

i'm pretty sure little enzo is the best child actor i've ever seen. if nothing else- he's worth watching the movie for.

sounds like i'd like it. heartbreak through the media is the only way to have heartbreak, i say.

I second Melissa, I struggle with all the randomness involved in the word thingy. Looks like a cute show. Maybe I'll watch it, I am bored tonight.

ah yes, word verification. the reason my mother never comments on my blog...

one day i was typing a comment on someone else's blog and i was like, "ahhh! why does everyone have this thing? it's so annoying!!" and then thomas informed me that i had it too since he added it the day before and that that is why i no longer have the viral "click here" comments anymore... so sorry pals.

Oh yes I have seen said movie. BY the end I was shaking my fists at the heavens above, some people just can't catch a break. I hate the part when all the men start calling out the kids dad in front of him, look at the bad example you are setting fofr your child. So sad, but so darn good too.

Hey Stepanie, I was your sister's ashley and brittany's friend in bakersfield, don't know if you remember me but i thought i would comment on your photos! They are nothing shy of amazing!!!!!! I went to art school and knew lots of photographers and you put them to shame. Just thought i'd let you know, although i know you know what kind of talent you have. By the way, what kind of camera do you use? I'm thinking about doing some amateur stuff and i'm looking at different cameras, thought i'd get a professionals view. thanks, melanie darling
