it came it came it came! mates of state re-arrange us came out today and my copy came in the mail right on time in spite of my cheap shipping woes! today was hot, muggy, whiny, infomercial buyers remorse laden and long- and then i opened the mail box and all my troubles melted away!
listening to it as i type- so different, but still them and everything i love!
here's their new video for "get better": their little daughter magnolia is in it at the end- and kori was pregnant in this- so great.

REALLy enjoyed the choreography at the end. and even if the mask thing kind of made me crazy wanting to see their faces, and even even if the bomb thing sort of freaked me out what with all the explosions in the world, i REALLY loved the song. magnolia at the end almost brought a tear. then again, so does anything with kids. anyway, thanks for letting me like mates of state with you.
Gosh this is beautiful...I've only listened to maybe one song from them with you before. I really like is song. I do think, though, that you and Thomas need to start up a band together... perhaps 'the mates of the state of hawaii/california'? Instead of the keyboard, you could play your accordian. Now that would be killer.

i saw this video a couple weeks ago and totally loved it. i can't wait to hear the new album. we will have to have a listening session when i get back and when you get back.

I love when you blog about music because it gets me excited to listen to new stuff. I usually get on a kick of finding a handful of new bands to listen to all at once, but then I stop for months at a time. It's a true feast or famine kind of a cycle. Anyway Im loving this song and I just bought the whole album. I've been listening to it all day and it's made me a very happy girl.
Mike loves the Mates of State. I haven't listened to much myself. I do however adore that video.
Wow I feel lost. I have never been one to understand music, all the hidden meanings and things really throw me off. I did enjoy it though, it was just very different. But thats why you rock.
