no miley cyrus, no.

can iTunes please offer a normal classic disney soundtrack? since me and bubba are going to be spending some serious hours on the road for work i thought i would get some bubba friendly music on my iPod to switch things up a bit. he loves mates of state...etc. of course, but it could be fun to listen to when you wish upon a star or cruela deville. i was thinking like old, classic disney. nothing obnoxious and from anything created in my life time. to give you an example, i almost found hope in the "walt disney record archives collection." it had: little april showers from bambi, the ballad of davy crocket, golden afternoon from alice in wonderland, let's get together from the parent trap, it's a small world, and the bear necessities from jungle book... but i was kind of hoping for more songs from classic movies i grew up with like the sword in the stone, peter pan, dumbo, pinocchio...etc. something sweet and really fun. i guess i could just buy this, but there has to be something out there right?

my other options involve a collection of remade disney tunes by miley cyrus, teddy gieger, ashley tisdale, and (get ready!) the baja men (of the critically acclaimed "who let the dogs out?"). awesome. no miley cyrus. not now. not ever. sheesh. does everything have to have a cheesy dance beat and overproduced vocals. i'm not ready for that. i may never be.

anyone have anything good they listen to in the kid music department?

What the heck?! Hannah Montana remixes!!! That is blasphemy! I do agree, it is hard to get all the classics on one album. Disney must do this on purpose. Anyway, how's the new job and sassy car treating you? Call me if you are anywhere near the hospital so we can do lunch!

I have a bunch of School House rock songs on my iTunes....supposedly geared towards children, but it has really helped me with my multiplication tables and understanding the process of a bill!

I know this is not classic by any means, but Connor loves the Backyardigans songs...and so do I! He might be more enthralled by their little dance routines, but whenever a song comes on he starts to do his little baby off key singing.

i have lots. i took them from home when i was there last time. also, there is a company called wee sing, they have great stuff. i have their nursery rhymes. but they have all sorts such as patriotic stuff, in the car games, animals, dinosaurs, even bible stories/songs. i gave you safety kids didn't i? addy loves all of those.

also, maybe try amazon. i know they have boxed sets for a pretty good price. it is hard to find truly 'classic' disney though. most of these cds include songs from toy story, little mermaid, and pocahontas. they are great movies and have great songs, but to get the true classics might take some digging.

I was trying to find the music from "Swiss family Robinson" the other day and no luck. I was so sad. I do have some music from Disneyland like the Haunted Mansion music and Pirates of the carribean (the whole ride!) I would be willing to share! And I did buy the original record for the "parent Trap" and it has some other classic disney music on it.

P.s. I need you to call me about something important. My # is 386-8511.
Thanks

How about the Wiggles? My kids love them and as annoying as they are...I don't mind them so much any more after listening to them a million times. I even have a favorite song of theirs...

I know, I know...
