thomas, if you are reading this, a-bomb is eating a sandwich and watching the dog movie and seems to be much happier... i think we'll be fine.
have a good day y'all.
"He is going to be counting on the American people to come together," Colin Powell, the former military leader and secretary of state, said in an appearance on MSNBC on Tuesday morning. "We all have to do something to help the country move forward under the leadership of this new president." (New York Times)
this morning, when i heard our new president say that many people cut back their hours so more of their fellow employees could keep their jobs i felt proud instead of sad for thomas and our family. that is what we are doing right now, and we will continue to do what we need to to help our country get back on it's feet.

I liked that part too. I am proud of the American people.
I love all your posts. What a great inauguration that was this morning. It was so great to see the American people come together like that.
proud to be an american after all...
i did not get to watch any of it.
peace.
that is a thing to be proud of.
too lazy to sign the husband out. i was also so impressed with the inauguration. and way to go on keeping perspective on your new complications with thomas's work schedule.
oh, and i just have to mention that george bush sr's outfit was the cutest thing ever. not related, but still very important.
you have an awesome attitude. i though that phrase was very Christ like.
I thought about you and Thomas when he said that, too. It's nice to put it in a perspective of helping others.
You had one of those, too, eh? Was it the kind where the kid is ready for a nap about 30 minutes after he wakes up in the morning (more because you can't take the crying over everything than anything else)? Maybe that was just me.
We, too, willing to do what we need to join the national rebuilding effort. I feel like our country must have been the kid who made a fool of himself in front of the whole class and now has to earn back his reputation as the, pardon the expression, All-American kid (you know, brains, brawn, manners, etc.). I think it is a worthy endeavor that I will gladly take part in.
Dude, your blogs are so good. You are a blog Queen! You entire blog is a work of art. Don't mind me worming my way into the perifery of your life...
