adventures around home

amby had a randomly high fever two nights ago so we didnt stray too far from home tuesday but that didnt mean we couldnt have fun. we had a very awesome library excursion where i chose the bell jar (100 pgs. in and LOVING IT!) and he chose strega nona which tickled me since i loved that book as a kid. after reading it to him a couple of times and looking through the pictures a bunch so he could point things out to me i ate pasta for lunch, naturally.

after naps we took this prized piece out for a spin:

aunty liko dropped it off so we could keep it at our house and she could use it in a community with more sidewalks. i am so glad she did because i have always wanted one for amby and she said we could use it! thanks aunty! we had a good walk (correction: he had a good sit and i had a good waddle as i pulled him):

today was our outdoor play/picnic. we had a few friends over and it was really fun! i want to do it every wednesday morning from 9:30-11:30am just like today until i have the baby and YOU are invited so we'll see ya next week. until then here are a few more of my super high tech iPhone photos from the festivities today:

this cracks me up- i made ambrose go in timeout for moving the kiddie table too much with his fat feet! ;) i told him to come out when he could be less annoying and this is him emerging from his room with a repentant look on his face. ha! i love him.

it was a fun day. cant wait for tomorrows plans.

hey super cutie, i like the bell jar and i kind of have forgotten the darkness of it. is it dark or just cool? mmm. anyway. amby's book looks awesome. what's it like?

it's a little dark, but just in the sense that she is down on herself most of the time and depressed- but in relateable ways... at least so far. i love it.

and amby's is a re-told folk tale about a guy who watches the house of a lady who does magic and he messes with her pasta pot and before you know it there is pasta flowing out of it all over the house and eventually all over the town. it's awesome.

Thanks again for having us over steph. It was really so much fun. I am glad you want to do it again next week, and that we didn't wear you out too much today... cause we had a ton of fun. But when don't we have fun hanging out with you?

i always start that book and then never finish it. i think that's the one i am thinking about. does it start out with the girl who gets to go to new york to do some kind of internship?? can't remember. maybe i'll dig it up again and finish it this time. and i remember strega nona too, good stuff.
thank you for having us over today, stephanie. loved it so much! and we are so there next week. and i'll get the chips and dessert for that. and help clean up next time, too. promise. and thanks for going over the sewing stuff with me. and i'm glad you are using the wagon. that's what it's for. and amby looks so happy in it. yay! and and and. love you. and let me know when i can massage you. and i will be seeing you shortly. goodnight.

I thought about reading it, however i decided against it since Ive heard it's really dark and sad. When your finished tell me what you think, and maybe I'll reconsider.

That was a fun picnic get together. Im glad you're holding more...except I will be gone, so I'm glad for everyone else so they can enjoy the fun!

ummmm ok. i'm done.

this song is perfect for you...I think... I am only really listening to the part where it talks about summer (Hawaii- eternal summer...)and falling in love with the drummer and innocence. The Bell Jar and Silvia Plath- never read anything by her but definately rings a huge bell- I should read it sometime- especially now that I know you are enjoying it- depressed in a relatable way- yeah- sounds like something I could get into. HA!
