we got stuff done, we relaxed, we ate a bunch, we spent time together, we hosed off naked in the front yard........
beaching it up and making some friends along the way:
unsqueaking doors so we can spy on ambrose when he sleeps (one of our favorite pastimes) without waking him
and taking all these newborn clothes and more and organizing them into this cute little dresser for a certain baby-to-be (that's the dresser thomas painted up all quick style for me one morning. the color makes me very happy.)
eating a LOT of these vanilla ice pops that i heard about on my friend carrie's blog
setting up the adorable bassinet that anna refinished for her baby and then passed down to me when she moved. putting it in the new space in our room, which thomas created by doing some serious organizing and re-arranging! i feel like we could successfully host a baby loves disco party in here now.
walking over to taylor's to feed her cat and play with him since she is in maui this weekend.
and then nearly bawling my eyes out as we finally trim the sweaty, fluffy, lovable mess that is ambrose's hair. i loved it dearly, but it is just too hot and someone at church called it poofy. :)
ending the day with a naked rinse off in the yard as the sun sets:
and putting some of the remains of the poof in a nearby birds nest:
you know. just your run-of-the-mill memorial day. :)

i am envious of how darn awesome you look in your swimsuit, chica! and i love days like that - where a lot is accomplished and you rest easy at night for a well-spent day. and i love that dresser. so.very.cute.
in addition to the rest, your dresser is painted the same color as our coffee table. i love it too.

hahah my favorite are those big orange scissors to cut his hair, awesome!
Oh soooo cute! how I love me some AMBY posts =o) He is my favorite little boy for sure! So sad that you had to sute his hair! It was surely not POOFY! It was more of a shag cut =oD But I know what you mean, every step closer to them getting older (even if it's just a haircut) is so hard to bear. Love you guys!

mama in the bathing suit? reminds me of a maternity shoot we did many moons ago.
i'm so happy after this post. if you would have sent me ambrose's hair, i would have treasured it more than that lucky bird.
and might i say the naked rinse is all the more glorious with the sun streaming in?
Uh yeah, ditto on the hotness. Woo woo!
Ambrose has the best hair ever. Ever!
I'm ever ever so glad you like the vanilla ice pops as much as we do.
Oh and your quilt looks awesome!

i love ambrose's hair! so cute! do you have a baby name picked out yet? you look like you are hardly showing still! no fair!
you are such an adorable babe. p.s. i love the unicorns!
hello. why do you call yourself a pregnant beast? you look so good!
what a great memorial day. that blueish color on the dresser is sooo soothing, it almost put me to sleep just looking at it.
and, i like the bebe quilt that you made, so cute!
you look great in the picture of you at the beach, I have a picture of my Grandma back when she was about our age it looks almost exactly like that. Same angle, same curve of the beach (in Mexico), big glorious glasses. It's shockingly similar (she totally agrees)!
your bedroom looks waaaay organized! way to go Thomas!
sounds like a fun day!
