well, i got bored this weekend because thomas had a late show and some other work to do so i whipped up a baby quilt top for the new child. it matches ambrose's but it is baby sized since boy number two wont be needing a bedspread for a couple of years.
now i am patiently waiting for my mother-in-law to return (june 1st) so she can show me how to put these two quilts together (she doesnt know this fact.... so linda if you are reading this: can you get me started with your quilting frames?)
i got some bright orange quilting cotton to back and bind these babies and it looks really cute. i am so excited to see the finished product and as always, i will put a photo up when i am done!
if you want to learn how to make your own little baby quilt (it is SO much easier than you think!) check out my happy little life- i am so glad she put this up. so helpful!

Soon enough that little guy will be here. Crazy! Its still hard for me to believe that I've already delivered Baylee. I remember being in your position just 2 weeks ago and feeling all those mixed emotions of excitement, nervousness, etc. Hard to believe that's now all over and she is here. Now I just keep asking her to not grow and to stay a baby forever. I hope and pray your labor and delivery will go as well as mine did this time, or better. Can't wait to meet your little guy!
looks great!
Sew cute! =) I can't wait to see the finished product! I am so jealous of your talent!
awesome thanks for that tutorial. I just bought some fabric to sew a quilt and that looks super easy! Thanks! P.S yours looks really cute! I love that fabric
It turned out so cute! Grandma Vela would be proud.
cutest fabric ever assembled! lucky boys.
I wish I could just "WHIP UP" a quilt like that. You are getting better and better at this sewing stuff and making it look easier and easier for me. But then I think.. no, it just looks easy, its really hard.
oh, and if you 'slurp' your blog into a book it does NOT include the comments. You can copy and paste some if you want. I only did that on the important stuff like when we found out we were expecting.. etc. It's pretty cool to read and remember what peoples reactions were to that kind of stuff.
Did I read that right? You "whipped up" a baby blanket cuz you were bored? Wow? For me it would be more like, I ate a whole sleeve of oreos, cuz I was bored. You see why I don't blog as often as you.
You're a great writer, and I envy your creativity and style. There, I said it. It's out now.
