im maybe dilated to a two. my due date is tomorrow. my regular doctor is on vacation. her back-up doesnt work mondays and the hospital has been kinda busy so they wont induce me until monday night.
so she said cheerfully, "just four more days!!"
and i thought, "have you ever been nine months pregnant before? four more days= practically four more weeks!"
after an ultrasound it looks like the baby is only a heavy seven pounder or a light eight pounder... so that is good, but she laughed that he did have a big head like ambrose.... im glad she thinks it's funny. maybe she'd like to deliver that big head.
i'm cranky.
have a good weekend.
i'm gonna be walking around my block in circles and drinking caster oil.

Love how she thinks the big head is funny. I don't! Never have never will. I forgot Ambrose had a big head, thought that was only a Whetten trait. That sucks about Monday, I'll pray the little dude decides to make his entrance into this world on his own sooner. Sucks to get your hopes up because of what another dr or nurse practitioner says. That's how it was for me when my dr. told me he would strip my membranes at 37 weeks (but he told me this at like 24 weeks) and then when 37 weeks came around and he supposedly did it, it was a PATHETIC attempt so it never did ANYTHING any of the 3 tries. I know he could have done a much better job. I was SO FRUSTRATED after each stupid appointment. So glad to know you might get a baby like our number 2, a big 7 pounder after a 9 1/2 pounder is a nice change, even if the head has to stay big. Good luck Steph!
I've tried so much to induce or speed up my contractions...and I've come to the conclusion that if that baby doesn't want to come...it ain't coming. Goodluck...just relax...2 is much more busy than 1
i have a trampoline if you want to jump a bit...it might help!!! or jump on your bed with ambrose and he'll think you're the coolest!

I hate the end. Blah! I feel your crankiness...I think I was cranky for nine months this last time. So, lots of walks, sex, raspberry leaf tea and primrose oil. I swear, it works. I also have a trampoline. Good luck!

I am so sorry Stephanie!! Funny how these little ones choose their birthdays and work it for THEIR best interest. I am keeping my fingers crossed that he comes sooner than Monday!!

i know that patience is sooooo hard to muster up at the end!! It will come soon, sorry you have to wait.
the end is the worst! Hope he decides to help you out and come on his own. We are coming to visit tomorrow for a week--hope we get to meet him!
i feel your pain. i am the same way right now. cranky and fat and i just got a new stretch mark that made me really mad last night. ugh. anyway, come on over if you want to keep your spirits up. i can make you a yummy treat and we can sew or something. or just let the kids play while we watch with our feet up.
Stephanie, it will be here sooner than you know and then you won't be sleeping at all and you will long for those lazy days of just being pregnant and only taking care of one....and I do speak from experience. LOL! Bets wishes coming your way!

i hate when they do that, when Keilana was a day before her due date we had an ultrasound and she was like ya she is around 8 lbs and big head. I was like wonderful I am already worried about delivering thanks, then she continued to say oh and I don't think she's coming this weekend, so we'll see you hear monday. I was like you jerk you just don't want to work the weekend. But needless to say I would have had Keilana earlier than Monday as she came if she wasn't OP. So goodluck, cant wait to see pictures.

Hey sweetie! I haven't commented on your blog in like . . . forever, so even though I don't have anything different to say, I thought I'd jump in and at least say I LOVE YOU!! Can't wait to see my new nephew . . . I agree with everyone that the end stinks. I was so mad at Katelyn for only being 13 days early, so see . . . I'm WAAAAAAY more cranky than you are!!
awwwwww I'm sorry! I know the feeling! Plan something insanely fun to do, and he'll come all on his own just to show you who's boss. haha
try having thomas massage, rub the insides of your heels and ankles. and i guess take megan's advice. hehe. when i was waitressing and pregnant with my two, i was dilated at a two-three for weeks just because of the walking around and up and down some stairs. and yes, the last days are the most uncomforable, but hey, asher will come when he wants to and then you will be able to breathe again.
oh stephanie, so sad. It's about time for a full moon and they say it's higher chances for popping out babies!!! Sad story for you...while I was at the dr. yesterday waiting for them I overheard Dr. Overton and the nurse talking about you. They were discussing your induction, whether or not to push you up to Thurs. night or Mon. night. They were so close to scheduling you that night but for some reason decided on MOn. :( I just wanted to butt in and say just bring the poor girl in for goodness sake. Hope that doesn't make you more upset...maybe this means you'll go into labor on your own.
