i thought it might work

Ambrose is committed to never trying new foods.

And especially not meat apparently.

I'd admire his conviction if it weren't irritating.

I told him the dinosaurs would be happy to devour that meat if he didn't want it, but that kind of threat never phases him.

"Ok," he told me with resolved nonchalance.

Backfire.

Dig in dinos.

So clever. You might have talked me into trying the meat. Ha ha. I can't get my kids to eat anything they don't want to and have decided to let it that battle go. Wish I could be the tough Mom that says "Two choices: take it or leave it." Turns out they grow out of being picky sometimes. Taj is starting to suprise us at almost 5.good Luck!

That was very clever thinking!

I feel your frustration. My kids will hardly try anything, especially Alton (who's almost 5). Most nights my kids literally don't eat dinner because they refuse to even try what I made. And I'm talking normal food like spaghetti, tacos, etc. But, they know that's their only option. They eat what is offered or they don't eat. So, they just don't eat. I just don't understand it!

Good luck to you!

Can you imagine having a personal chef who just called you to dinner every night? I swear I'd never complain. Someday our kids will realize they are nuts and will ask for our recipes.

I hope. I'll cry if all this cooking goes unappreciated forever.

Ambrose is a little vegetarian. So sweet. At least he isn't eating only meat and no fruits and veggies. Or only sugar, as Banks is trying to do.

Ya, we've had that exact same conversation! Tru wont eat meat either... I even went as far as buying the dinosaur nuggets from costco and he still wont touch them. These boys...

Pretty funny! Vela won't eat meat either other than a little chicken very rarely! Hopefully they outgrow it!

haha! I only laugh because we still have issues with our 6 1/2 year old on this subject. Sometimes I have to laugh to keep sane. :) Good luck, wish I could say I've learned a few tricks. NOPE. Baylee however is very much a meat eater, then again Tayson was a great eater as a baby (Baylee's only a good meat eater though), and now Tayson is a picky eater. Brady has made a rule now that you must try everything at least once. Since he's 6 I guess it is easier to make that kind of rule, at age 3, with stubborness, YIKES. Camden is our stubborn child, fortunately not as much of a picky eater, otherwise not sure how we'd all survive. Prayers coming your way. :)

hahaha...I love this. It reminds me of everytime I try to bribe Eden to do something...such as stay in her bed at night. She'll come out and say, "It's okay Mommy. I don't want _____. Maybe tomorrow."
