got a free afternoon?

I did since Adelaide invited Ambrose to play at their house while Asher had his nap. Thanks Echo! I used the quiet time to clean my house... just kidding! I made a picnic blanket!




And it rolls up all pretty when you're done:

I saw one like it in this book a year or so ago:
and have wanted to make one ever since.
I just used a vintage sheet and blanket I bought long ago as well:

I'm a little bit in love with it. What a breezy project. Let's go picnic!

I would love to make one of those. I suppose it would have dual purposes as a beach blanket too.

wowza your a sewing maniac and i like it! i am going to echo everyone else and say i need one too. i actually have two sheets that i planned to make something like this with and never did it- story of my life!

oh very fun! do you own that book? is it worth the purchase? Love the picnic blanket idea... I think I need one for the summer... maybe by the end of the summer I will get one made. :)

oh yes i LOVE the book! i don't think i'll ever make the reusable feminine pads in it....... (!!!!!) but otherwise it is brilliant!

stephanie, i looked through it at a store one day and saw those! it killed me! but i guess that's what they did before plastic was invented.
