Well I did it.

I saw this tutorial a while back and thought, "By golly I could do that." And then never did a dang thing as I am apt to do.

But late last night I got a crazy look in my eye and starting hacking away at one of my favorite polka dotted t-shirts, dug up some cute fabric Melissa Crosby passed along to me when she moved (thank you!), and the rest was history.

I changed up the tutorial a little and maybe I just should have stuck with the original plan, but I learned a lot and I like it.

Done. I'm gonna wear it proudly to church now and you can't stop me (although you probably should).

I love your version! The fitted look and the length are perfect ... Can I send stuff to you to make my old things into beautiful dresses?!

I LOVE it! Now I might try to make one, too. Because, you know, you live on an island and no one would know! Seriously, though, ah-mah-zing.

Yeah, the island arrangement has always worked well for us and our matching style, although I wish we lived side by side and could wear them around together... spooning... too much?
