take a break

Thanks to Netflix, Thomas and I have discovered and rediscovered some old favorites. We watched the whole My-So-Called-Life series recently which lead us to this gem:

If you were, say, working like a slave all day trying to dig yourself out of an apartment that you have spent the last three and a half years entrenching your things into every nook and cranny in, then this will really be a treat for you! Close the front door and all windows, turn up the volume REALLY loud, and dance around your now gutted apartment like a modern dancer from So You Think You Can Dance (so basically throw your body all around the place)-- making your way through stacks of dishes, clothing, and piles of things to throw out. If you also happen to have a chubby baby who is very thrown off by seeing his home in this transition state, and is constantly begging for attention, then he will be DeLiGhTeD! by this song and crazy behavior. Or you could just listen to it anyway you want. Whatever works.

I wish I could be there to help you clean out. I know it's totally nerdy, but I LOVE getting rid of stuff.

First of all, I just wanted to let you know that I totally feel you on the blog stalker. I hope you don't think I am one and I do think we have a mutual friend, emily makahi... and some of the upstanding youth members...anyway, I also wanted to comment on your new house, we totally looked at that house! We couldn't afford the rent though. I'm so glad you guys get to enjoy it! It's so nice! We are looking for a bigger place to live too and it's so hard to do out here! It's so expensive! even for a 1 bedrm! well have fun in your new house!
