three cheers for inspirational friends

my good buddy shem wrote me last night asking me to look over some short stories he had written.

that got me thinking, "why dont i ever do that?" (write something)

i have a lot of ideas but no follow through.

so instead of billing (sorry north shore mental health) - i sat up at my trusty laptop and wrote a little piece of fiction and i am sorry to sound so nerdy but it was the most fun i have had in a long time.

i dont think i'll do anything with it but t-mass enjoyed reading it this morning and i enjoyed writing it and for now that's enough.

Steph... you write so well I can only imagine how great your story was. You should really consider mass production! :)

i think you should post it for the world to read ... or at least me

To comment on both this and your previous post--I faithfully read your blog--it's one of my favorites.(I've often thought you should write professionally!) I don't know you all that well, really, but your blog makes me feel like I do. It so makes me wish we'd lived on the same side of the island! With Matt and Thomas being such good friends, what fun we could have had!

ana, lisa, stef, mindy: you made my day! i wish the five of us could have lunch together. how's tomorrow sound? :)

it would be nerve racking, but sort of fun to post it. i want to write some more of it and work out a few parts that i think need some work, but maybe after that. it would be f-u-n.

honestlyonto is a good place to post it. it's FOR that kind of thing.

i wrote a short essay a couple days ago when nate was working laate and i was boored. it turned out only to cause more tension, though, so i won't be posting it, uh, ever.

i'm serious, i'd like to add a writing section to our collaborative thing---HEYY that could be this year's thing. oh duh.

yes mellie- how right you are. perhaps i will get my act together and give the story some sort of conclusion and work out the 2-3 places that i dont believe and then i will post it. that would be scary and fun.
