good job kids

hey there october! i love october because it means halloween is almost here and then that means that thanksgiving is almost here and then that means that christmas is almost here...etc. (new years, valentines and so on). i am childishly into holidays.

our friends marc and echo allred are moving into everyones dream home this week (3 bedrooms people and central air... seriously!). i wanted to help out so today i volunteered to watch addy so echo can clean up her old residence and move into her new one and i know i am confessing something horrible about myself, but normally i have a bad attitude about watching other people's kids, because, well aside from me just being a bad person, i always feel a little stressed and slightly annoyed (with exception of course and if i volunteer to do it i am less likely to feel these things) but we are having a very pleasant morning so far. it's kind of exciting because it shows that the kids are growing up and getting along and are able to listen to me when i tell them to do or not to do something. right now addy and ambrose are being such cute little friends and passing crayons back and forth and spontaneously hugging... ahhhh. :) ok, i'm off to drink my lemongrass herbal tea, fresh from my yard. my landlord is always telling me to take some and this morning i finally did (after seven months of living here!). i just cut some, rolled it up in a knot, tied it with another piece of lemongrass and poured hot water over it. it smells so good and mixed with the sort of gloomy weather today, i am feeling like fall is here! (pictures taken on my camera phone... sorry).

no worries- i stress out about watching other people's kids too. maybe cause i know i can't run things the same way as with my own kids, but now that they're getting older they entertain themselves better and it actually gives me more time with my younger ones.

i can't describe how thankful i am that you watched adelaide for me this morning. i was able to get a lot of cleaning done with chemicals that were too scary to clean with with addy around. thank you thank you
oh, i love lemon grass tea. it is so yummy.

ps, you just inspired me to do something for others and the church on my blog too (I like your button link). Ever since Elder Ballard said something it's been on the back of my mind.

OOOH, HATE BEING SLOW TO COMMENT. WHAT A GREAT THING TO CONFESS! THAT WAS HILARIOUS. I'M SORRY ABOUT THE ALL CAPS, BUT ITS TOO LATE NOW. I THINK I HAVE TO CUT YOU OUT OF MY LIFE BECAUSE MISSING YOU EVERY TIME I READ A BLOG POST IS BREAKING MY HEART OVER AND OVER AND I NEED TO PUT AN END TO THIS SELF INFLICTED TORTURE.

I am glad you admitted what I have always felt about watching other kids. I don't think it is because I don't like kids... more because I am selfish with my time! :) YOu are such a good friend Steph
