lighter

do you know aaron eskaran? he's a really good friend, and a talented photographer, and the trumpet player for upstanding youth... so very cool on so many levels. :)

anyway, he took our family portraits on tuesday and we got a little taste today of the result and i hope he doesnt mind me putting one up on here cuz i love them!

today i am thankful for him and i am thankful for feeling like i have so many hands holding me up all the time.

i do my fair share of whining. i guess a blog is good for that sometimes. i have so many fiercely loyal friends and family members who are there for me when i get down and that is so nice, so nice.

we are feeling lighter today. no driving around for work, just some easy stuff on the computer. i kept a tissue stuffed in my nose and cleaned my house: dishes, laundry, organized the clutter... check, check, and check!

amby is napping finally and that is always nice too. why is it that parents so look forward to their child napping? i know it is not that i cant wait to be away from him. but it is nice to collect oneself in the quiet almost reverence that is a house with a sleeping baby in it. it's almost like doing yoga, very serene.

i do feel lighter. partly due to you, partly due to me, and that's the way it should be. it's nice to have awesome people around you to offer to help (diana, sofia, liko, ashley, melissa, echo, bille-- etc. you are all noted in my book of people i am eternally grateful for) and it is also nice to reach within yourself and get it together.

i am glad you are feeling better. the pic looks awesome. we were going to ask tom if he would take our family portraits again soon. i just haven't gotten around to it yet. thanks for the positive comment on my blog. i know i have friends but sometimes when you get in the mood i was in the whole world is against you. or at least it seems that way. thanks for being my friend

i really love that picture of you guys! i think i might ask aaron to take our family portraits for my christmas cards i want to get out this year before he heads outta here(it'll be our first one yet, if i get them out). i love this blogging deal, even though we never see each other, i do consider you my friend. virtually, you uplift me. your words inspire me and it is a comfort to know that i don't need medication and being weird, at times, is totally normal.

oh my gosh, will you please post more pictures? that one is so beautiful. such perfect feeling conveyed. and i love how the slight blur of you in the background keeps me on edge wondering about the finer details of that delightful shirt you're wearing. also, that you're standing apart and not together, brilliant.

love you, glad you feel better.

creeped out, never, in fact, i'll raise you a warm fuzzy...

to keep it simple. i remember that time when we first were getting to know each other and we saw each other on campus and we started talking and kept talking and eventually had to take it to some bench so we could keep talking. and i didn't want you to leave because i didn't know if/when we would talk again, and i kept having things to say to you. that's when i knew i wanted you as my bestie!

also, not a memory but at the top of the list of stephanie things i miss are your laugh, how free and easy it comes, kind of loud and abundant. i think of it sometimes when i feel lonely. = )

good to hear you are feeling 'lighter'. Reminds me of that little moment where one stuffy nostril clears up and decides to switch stuff up the other nostril. I love that feeling and makes me feel 'light' where you can breathe for a mere 3-4 seconds. What am I saying? sorry if I confused you. anyways I couldn't imagine a cold while in my first trimester. Any crazy cravings yet? or just throwing up for now?

Yeah, I would love to go to those beach days you've talked about. Tomorrow we actually planned on going to ala moana beach in the morning with my fam so -no can do. What was that site again you said to look at for the locations? We'll go next week.

I'm digging the photo, too. I like the new white layout, perfectly matches the "light"ness of the photo.

I like Diana's description of your laugh, I can hear it right now :)
