in case you havent already heard- we are starting up aloha friday beach day again tomorrow morning (fri. feb. 6th)
we decided to do the same beach every friday for a whole month to keep things simple since so many people come now (hooray!)
so for the month of February:
meet at Kekelas at 9:30am and leave whenever you/your child needs lunch/a nap
*for anyone who is new to this awesome tradition started by ashley moffat (who we will dearly miss as we continue her idea but she will join us at the end of the year again!):
bring towels, sunscreen, hats, beach toys... you know whatever you normally bring to the beach and if you can/want bring a drink for your kid so they dont fight with other kids who have one (not that ambrose has ever done this or anything....)
and bring snacks that we all end up sharing because for some reason all the kids dont want their OWN snacks- they only want OTHER peoples..... :) 
we'll be there for sure, rain or shine so: SPREAD THE WORD AND SEE YOU THERE! call me or liko or echo if you have questions...

oh, i SOOOO wish I could come now. I long for warm weather. And Kailani is much bigger now, I don't think she'd be afraid of the water. hmph. Have fun though!
Fun! What a great idea! I love having days of activities planned like that! Hopefully me and Brighton can make it!
i wish i could come! i think you will like vicky cristina barcelona. it's our kind of movie. it's just pretty to watch and funny....and the women kissing is not a big deal at all...it's just weird and sort of makes sense...and the ending is the best.
I'm feelin' the aloha spirit. And how true it is about kids always wanting anybody's snacks but their own!

and that second picture you posted was from the all time best beach day, well other than the first one, that was pretty fun too! ok, they were all fun.
Stephanie! I would LOVE to do beach days BUT i work on Fridays! Blah! I wish we could change it to Thursdays! Hehe...all for me, please. Anyway, wish I could join you. I'll be forever jealous! Oh, and I wanted to respond to your book list post...I have sooooo many favorites that are great. I'm a big reader too. My house is filled...and my bus!
hi! thanks for the shout out about beach day! our keiki do have school, but come summer break- this will be well attended by the weston-lee's! (: as for your poetry that i've recently read on this blog- you, my friend, are a poet. i love them. love your blog.
