huck finn pants

a lot of work goes into pants. next time you wear some look at all the seams and all the ways seams are reinforced so they dont come out. if they arent reinforced- beware- you may be showing off your unmentionables if something catches, is worn down, or mysteriously tears!

anyway, i had fun making these simple little pants for a sweet one year old boy and the coolest part is inside the elastic waist where there are three button holes his mama can utilize as he gets bigger- i just used a basting (temporary and easily removed) stitch for part of the waistline so it could be adjusted and then closed up again.

i think i'll whip some up for asher when he gets older.

here's a better look at the fabric.

oh yes, and the "huck finn" pants come from weekend sewing, where you can see how cute they look on little ones! i love that book.
