moving along

Whooosh!
this house is going to be worked on very soon

and things are getting exciting for thomas as a happy little letter was received yesterday- moving him further along on his path toward getting his LCSW (congratulations honey- one big step closer!):

i'm ready for the semester to start friday morning! i feel like my lazy days as crafty stay-at-home mom are about to get complicated a bit and all the concerns that come with that are making my head spin a little, but this is something i will enjoy and luckily it is at such an ideal time. i can enjoy my class and office time in the morning (only three days a week too) and then come home and relish my role as co-conspirator with my babies for the rest of the morning, afternoon, and evening...etc. all is well and it's just about as ideal as a mom-job gets. (really the most ideal is no other job at all, but you get the idea.)

yes, things are looking up for sure.

I love those perfect moments where you feel like you have it all! In the big picture we pretty much do, huh. It's nice when we're able to relax and enjoy it.

Float On. So classic. From my perspective anyway.

When you said "lazy" I laughed a little. But, yes, very exiting this new job! I look forward to hopefully reading more about it once you get started.

Thanks for letting me be your friend.

oh, i can't wait to hear all about how the job is going. you will be absolutely fabulous, and you have no reason to be nervous. once you start doing your thing in front of those students, you will have an absolute BLAST.

and did you cut your hair, or does that last picture deceive me?

hehe- just a blurry image- no hair cut. but it's sweaty around here so i am considering going short!

good luck! i know you're gonna do great. i only hope that you have a set of students that obsess about you the same way that we do about certain night cap wearing professors...if only, if only.

ps: modest mouse concert was rad. this song was their encore...or last song...i can't remember, but it was definitely near the end
