oh yeah, i went out saturday night and did something awkward to someone famous

such a rare event should be documented. the show was fun to say the least-- here are some pictures a friend of the band sent to us. he is very loyal in his picture taking.

these are from before the night got started... wish i would have gotten my camera out to photograph the show- it was a night to remember for sure!

oh, and speaking of before the night got started... do you watch LOST? me either. just kidding, i used to. we were actually obsessed for a while and then stopped watching last season in the middle. i think we will netflix last season when it is out and catch-up, but ANYWAY- that's not the point. the point is: before very many people were around, at the beginning of the night, me, thomas and demitri were talking to some people outside of coffee talk when who should walk up but this hunk of man meat: (hot Hot HOT)

thomas kind of made this noise and was looking in a certain direction and i was like, what is he looking at? it was sawyer from LOST- with his lovely wife, just walking around kaimuki. as he walked past our little group thomas said, "punk rock show..." and sawyer said, "oh, thanks man." or "it's all good man" or something gentle to let us down as he kept walking by.

and then i did it.

i couldn't help myself.

i can't explain it, but for some reason i had to touch him... WHY?? hahahaha

oh don't worry, it's not as if i reached out and patted/caressed his shoulder and back as he passed me... oh wait, i absolutely did. ahhhhh! why??? why.

demitri asked me about it later and my only excuse was, "i HAD to do something!!"

did i? really? wow.

for some reason they walked past us three more times that night (maybe his shoulder had been hurting and he was hoping for more?? no? ok.) ... what were they doing? they looked hot doing it, whatever it was.

this reminds me of another LOST/Upstanding Youth encounter. at least no one drunkenly stole my video camera this time.

haha. I don't see many the celebrities. I think the good Lord knows I would do something horrible because I lack of self- control. Anyway, it's not like he knows your name, right? And it's not like you were caught in his home wearing his clothes. You got a really good story, so I would count it as a success!

Oh wow Stephanie you kill me! First of all, I didn't know you could live in Hawaii and not be totally caught up in LOST (our addiction has followed us to the other side of the country), but I think I would have turned and looked the other way if I had been within spitting distance of Sawyer. I mean Josh Holloway. And then I would have hated myself for the rest of my life for not being bolder, for the sake of having a good story to tell my children. But you are all over that. Ambrose will be so proud some day.

STEPH! you rule. Just a few days ago I was at the childrens zoo with choob and who should I spy????? Charlie from lost aka one of the hobbits in LOTR! Yes this is the 3rd time I've seen him. So I took out my camera and snapped a few pics and when I got home I looked at them and the gal he was with was totally looking at me and making a stink eye because seriously, who did I think I was...the paparazii. I TOTALLY understand how the celeb craze makes one act a little out of character. You rule!

i just re-read this aloud to martin and have a few more things to say. love the juxtaposition of thomas's cool approah and stephanie's fondle. and you are so hilarious, storytelling at its finest. you've got a writing career ahead....make it happen.

I'm glad a picture with me made the blog. I almost have no proof that we are friends. I don't think I have any pictures of us. Sad, huh.

i did the same when I met danny glover. I gave him a good shoulder pat......and one time i interrupted matt damon's dinner......i would give all of that up just to meet sawyer.i need to come to hawaii and run into him...or any of them really...
