let's be honest

today i am thankful for sleep! wonderful wonderful sleep! i didnt get the file i needed to work last night (which means i couldnt work! yeah!) and after a loooooooong day and evening as a single parent who is sick with a bad cold and pregnant on top of that i gave bubba the fastest bath of his sassy young life and promptly put him in bed after the fastest, most monotone reading of one of his books he had ever received. he went to bed a half hour early (6:30 PM) and i went to be at 8PM-- eight p.m.!!!!!

we both woke up at 7AM-- seven a.m.!!!!!

i am a new woman. try sleeping sometime. just try it.

so, since i had nothing to be thankful for yesterday and honestly spent the day being mad at my lover boy who is in maui playing rock star for the weekend, being sick, and mumbling things like "when do i get to go on vacation with my friends and play music in clubs and have this great social life?? (i guess the answer lies in when i am talented enough to do so... shoot.) i didnt feel the inclination to post because i would have been thankful for something like: ... yep, that's right, nothing. did we really need another "wah, wah, poor me" post? nope. :)

oh, and just because some people had expressed an interest- here are some more pictures from that little session with aaron (dont worry, this is just a few of the many and so i will post more until you are screaming "we were just being nice!!! one was enough!! yes, you and your family took pictures... good for you!")

These photos are so great. I think it's cause your family is so dang cute, but I imagine the photographer has something to do with it. If only we could afford, or should I say...if only I wasn't so cheap maybe I'd get our family some great photos. Glad you got so much good rest!

Your child is incredibly adorable, I can't take it. I want to meet him. I haven't seen you since your wedding! But it's ok, because you're such a good blogger, I feel like I'm all caught up on your life, haha. Much love.

Amen to SLEEP! You know how people tell you (oh the things people tell you when you have a new baby) to sleep when the baby sleeps? who does that? Even if you do, she/he will wake up in less than an hour and you will feel groggy and wished you'd never went down to take the nap.

By the way, I nominated you on my blog. Check it out to see (its on Thursday the 6th posting). But don't worry, you don't have to respond. I normally don't like being 'tagged' and doing stuff like that but I was bored one Sunday afternoon and did it.
