oh no she didnt!

i wasn't joking people. i totally did.

(i stole this picture off natalie norton's blog so dont worry- i didnt draw on her face- that was all her and she looks lovely! haha)
today i am thankful for chances to act like i am a thirteen year old girl again. it's been a while.

we met up at 9PM

we spray painted our shirts

we drove and were giddy

we stood in a long line and were so excited we spontaneously clapped our hands and danced around a little (like a potty training child)

we ran into the theater and talked breathlessly and very seriously about the most strategic way to get great seats for ourselves and those who were meeting up... 8 seats at least total

we then realized we had at least an hour to kill and managed to still remain giddy and 13-year-old like the whole time

we refused to yawn... too much

we cheered like a bunch of girls at a beatles concert when the previews started

we screamed like a bunch of girls at a beatles concert (seriously, the whole theater did for every kiss, funny thing we remembered from the book, and new character being introduced...etc.) when edward finally made his way onto the screen

we overlooked the cheesy moments (ok, we all had to laugh out loud at a few of them) because we were LOVING every second of it

we got home after 3AM

we all have kids to entertain today, but it was so so worth it

how many times do you get to leave the kids at home with trusted babysitters (their dads), be with a bunch of girls, and act like a young girl in love with her teeny bopper crush? it is so so fun. and silly, but mostly just totally fun.

So fun! I love to act 13 every once in a while. I'm going tonight (at 7:15...I'm a party pooper!) Hope we enjoy as much as you did!

You are so funny! Here is the question... was the movie any good? I heard it wasn't. :(

Dang! I wish I could've gone with you guys! I really wanna go, but Adam thinks it's the lamest movie EVER. He doesn't know good stuff when he sees it. You have to tell me about it all later when I see ya on tuesday.

I was right there with you- (only out here of course) and I screamed like a thirteen year old also.

lisa and diana and any other interested parties: let's just say it will not get an academy awards... and some of it was so cheesy and just not even close to how the good and descriptive the book was that i was verbally thanking my lucky stars that i didnt bring thomas along (he would have made fun of it sooooooooo much)- but having said all that

I STILL LOVED loved and i mean LOVED it!

Sounds like fun. I must be old because I am really excited to see it too, but I want to wait until the crowds die down a little.

oh, so fun. wish i went, i am saving that date for my mom as one of our last hoorahs before she moves far, far away from me. i LOVE it, you girls look super-excited! i seriously love it so much, if i wasn't going with my mom i would've been right there with you all for the 12midnight showing.

movies NEVER compare to the books. just not possible to fit all that detail in. someday, someone should make a movie EXACTLY like the book.
