and he's off!

today is no holiday for thomas robertson. he needed to head out and track down some new clients who may really need his help right about now. so we are saving our monday holiday for next week and have some serious family fun planned in honolulu.

i can tell it's monday because this always happens: we have a lovely weekend and thomas is such a hands-on dad and team player in our relationship that when the weekend is over (sort of like when midnight strikes for cinderella and the spell is broken) and it's back to regular life, i always have a little moment of worry... like, "WAIT! you're leaving now? it's up to ME and only me to be in charge?? are ya sure???"

of course me and the toddler end up have a grand old time and we're fine, but the arrival of monday morning really makes me appreciate any time spent with my eternal mate: t-rob. :)

so, me and bubba headed straight out to the beach this morning and now we're back to eat dino shaped chicken nuggets... if we're gonna have a monday we may as well have a really great monday.

Yeah, it totally stinks. I remember the first few times (like, maybe 3 months worth) Micah left me by myself (even before the child) to go to work when I was still at home and I always got teary and thought, "What on earth am I going to do until he gets home?" And then I'd go make the bed and be fine.

Vacation days are better.

I loved the Cinderella analogy. Like you said, at least it was a great one.

My monday morning began at 8:00 am. It went like this...

"Hi, Doctor's office. What time is our appointment today?"

"8:20"

"Crap."

Steph & Thomas! Ambrose is so cute! i can see both of you in him. And Steph! That's really exciting about your new little one on the way. Last time we saw you, you were pregnant and so were we. Now we are both pregnant again! we have good timing. ha. Your family is so happy and cute! take care!

I HATE mondays too. I tell Dan he is abandoning me every monday morning because he LITERALLY has had Choob ALL weekend b/c I work and then Monday rolls around and Choobs idol has gone to work and he is stuck with me (skills trainer/behavior modification momma) and wants to kill himself.

Chicken dinos are the best. That is what they are called around here. Chicken dinos. Dan & I have been eating them for five years now. Just ask my mom what she ate when she lived with us in hawaii for a month:chicken dinos and more chicken dinos. She can't even buy them anymore b/c she gets sick just looking at the packy.

hehehe. Longest comment ever. the end.

gotta love the dino-shaped chicken nuggets for sure. costco?
i, on the other hand, have had enough of the stay-at-home husband. time for him to go and work or something...

and to add the ongoing comments about the dinosaur nuggets...we ran out of regular chicken nuggets when i was working at ola, and had to get dino nuggs from cost co for a while...

best week ever.

funny, but nate had the day off school today and i had to go to work. but you know what the crazy boy did? he called his boss and told him he was coming in even though he doesn't usually work mondays. what a wacko.

a good hubby is such a precious commodity these days. good catch.
i forgot to mention that "dyno- bites" as we call them were what brought velzy out of vegetarianism, much like amby boy. now, i can't buy them because all they do is throw them around- too much of a good thing i guess.

you always do the hard things the right way. and thomas too. you're very well suited for each other in that way.

I totally feel the same way on Monday (although Cale had Monday off, so I guess I'm feeling that today:). Oh, and those dino nuggets are a life saver. Dane has those for lunch most days during the week. Sadly it's about the only meet I can get him to eat...not sure if it counts, haha!

Totally agree with the Cinderella thing. Weekends are always so magical...then there's monday.
